The Map Is Upside Down

Time's up! The answer is that the cities are in the northern section of the continent. Assuming this continent is in the northern hemisphere, the cities would then reside in the coldest part. I had originally envisioned the cities being located in the southern part where it was warmer and having snow covered mountains and terrain to the north. I can't believe I didn't catch this when it was originally created.

How I Envisioned The Map Originally

I only noticed this problem when the continent was expanded to fit the SliverLight Hollow into the northern/cold region of the continent. I examined the map and realized the Hollow would need to be near the cities! In my head, I imagined that the map would look like the above image - with DinoTopia and Mammal Metropolis at the southern part of the continent. This would have meant the Hollow would be located to the north of the cities and not near them. It's a huge difference isn't it?

What's The Fix?

Currently, we have 7 books printed with the world map showing the cities located to the north. So, what do we do going forward. I have several options:
Leave It As It Is
I could leave the cities and map as it currently is. If I do this and continue to place the Hollow south of the cities, I would either need to have the continent in the southern hemisphere or suspend normal climate flows. I'm not sure I like either of these options. Our products mostly sell in the United States and Canada, to have kids imagine a world in the southern hemisphere might be a leap to far.
Fix It Going Forward
This is the option I am most closely thinking about doing. With a limited number of copies of the incorrect map, this could easily be corrected going forward. it would also make the initial printings more of a collectible item - the editions with the wrong map.
What do you think? Is simply fixing it going forward the right path?
