From the Desk of Tarb
Hello, I’m Brian ‘Tarb’ Tarbell, the creator of Dino Defenders. I’m glad you found us.
Growing up in the 70s and 80s, I saw firsthand that the best way to learn was through pure, unscripted fun. Childhood felt like a giant ‘Safe Sandbox’’—a world where our primary job was simply to play—giving us the freedom to explore our world, the permission to learn from our failures, and the space to imagine without the pressure to grow up too fast.
I created Dino Defenders to bring that same sense of joy to today’s world. I believe that even in this fast-paced age, kids still need a safe space to escape—a place where adventure and prehistoric fun take center stage.
In every Dino Defender story, inner strength and kindness are superpowers used to win the day. We build our adventures so that when your little one is enthralled in the journey, these values naturally become the tools our heroes use to complete their mission.
I’m honored to have you here, and I hope our world becomes a favorite part of your family’s tradition.

Universal Respect
How we treat others—even those who don't play fair at first—isn’t just a rule; it’s how we build a world where everyone belongs. In our stories, integrity is the ultimate tool for earning respect and winning the day.
EXPLORE →The Resilient Spirit
In every adventure, things don’t always go as planned—especially when others don’t play fair. We show kids that obstacles aren’t the end of the story; they are challenges that give us the chance to stay focused and solve the problem.
EXPLORE →A Sense of Accomplishment
There’s a special magic in that 'I did it!' feeling. We celebrate the thrill of a hard-earned victory and the pride that comes from finishing a tough mission through your own persistence and curiosity.

Building the Sandbox:
The Art of Adventure
We choose a hand-drawn, "classic" art style because it feels warm, lived-in, and human. In an age of fast-paced digital noise, our process is our way of slowing things down to make sure we get the details right.
Whether it’s the hidden paths of Guardian Grove or the mischievous grin of a Mean Mammal, we aren't just making art—we are building the environment where your child’s next favorite adventure will take place.
