Dino Defenders 2025 Recap
What your kids can read, do, and learn right now (and what’s next)
Thank you for being a part of 2025
The biggest shift in 2025: from “our stories” to “your child’s stories”
In the beginning, Dino Defenders had to start with stories: characters, locations, and adventures you could jump into right away.
But the real goal has always been bigger than reading alone.
In 2025, we reached a milestone we’re genuinely proud of: we’ve built enough of the Dino Defenders universe that your child can start using it as a creative playground. That means Dino Defenders isn’t just something kids consume—it’s something they can create inside.
What that does for your family
It gives you a simple, screen-friendly (or screen-free) way to help your kid:
- practice imagination with a little structure (so it doesn’t turn into “I don’t know what to do”)
- build confidence by creating something that’s theirs
- develop storytelling skills (beginning → middle → end)
- learn values like kindness, courage, and teamwork through play
If you’ve ever watched your child light up when they “invent a game” or “make up a story,” this is that—but easier for parents to support, because the world is already built.
Three highlights you loved in 2025
What’s ahead in 2026 (and how it helps your family)
2026 is about one thing: helping families stay in the Dino universe longer—at every age.
1) Dino Detectives (launching in January)
This is a new series for older kids—around ages 8–12—who want bigger stories, bigger mystery, and more independence as readers.
Why we’re excited: kids grow fast, and we don’t want them to “age out” of a world they love. Dino Detectives is built so your child can stay connected to DinoTopia as they mature—just in a way that fits them better.
What that does for your family
- a more advanced reading experience for older kids
- mystery + problem-solving + critical thinking (without feeling like school)
- continuity for families with siblings at different ages
2) More ways for kids to create “Your Stories”
We’re continuing the shift from “story-only” to “story world + creative tools.” That means more prompts, missions, and easy ways for kids to make their own adventures.
What that does for your family
- fewer “I’m bored” moments
- more confident storytelling and creative play
- a fun routine you can repeat weekly
3) Dino Deputies and digital ideas (coming carefully)
We’re exploring a few bigger ideas—including expanding Dino Deputies and building a stronger digital experience—but we’re doing it responsibly.
Instead of promising ten things and delivering two, our approach is: ship what’s real, test what families actually use, and build from there.
When we commit to something publicly, we intend to follow through.
