The Kentrosaurus is one of the coolest dinosaurs around, but let’s be honest—he’s a bit "pointy." He has sharp plates on his neck and long, dangerous spikes running all the way down his back and tail. If he isn’t careful when he turns around or plays with his friends, someone could get a literal poke!

📂 Mission Briefing

In the dino world, a Kentrosaurus tail is a weapon. In your world, a "tail swipe" happens when you:
Grab a toy too fast.
Pet an animal too hard.
Yell a sharp word when you're frustrated.

This week, we are capping our spikes with kindness.

Your mission this week is to be a Kentrosaurus Specialist. You must learn how to move your "spikes" (your hands, feet, and words) so that they never accidentally hurt the smaller members of your "herd"—like pets or younger children.

STEP 01

The "Slow-Motion Swing"

When you are around a pet or a small child, move your body in "slow-mo." No running, jumping, or sudden pouncing. This keeps your "spikes" from accidentally bumping into them.
STEP 02

The "Feather-Touch" Test

Before you touch a pet or a baby, pretend your hand is a soft leaf. Use only the tips of your fingers. If you’re being gentle enough, they should feel like they’re being tucked into a soft nest of ferns.

The "No-Sting" Zone

If you feel "prickly" (angry or annoyed), take three big Dino-breaths before you speak. Make sure your words are as soft as moss, not as sharp as a spike.
